Reconstitution Calculator

Reconstituting a lyophilized (freeze-dried) peptide means dissolving it in a measured volume of solvent. This tool does the arithmetic: enter how much peptide is in the vial and how much solvent you add, and it returns the resulting solution concentration — the same calculation a lab performs when preparing any stock solution.

Read this first

This is a laboratory reference tool only. It calculates the concentration of a reconstituted solution — nothing more. It is not medical, veterinary, or dosing guidance; it does not tell you how much of any substance to administer to a human or an animal, and it must not be used for that purpose.

Every product sold by PeptaCo LLC is supplied strictly for in-vitro research use only — not for human or veterinary use, and not approved by the FDA. If you are looking for medical dosing information, this tool is not it, and these products are not intended for that use.

One quick thing

This calculator returns solution concentration for in-vitro laboratory research only. It is not medical or veterinary advice, and it does not tell you how much of any substance to give a person or animal.

By continuing you confirm you're using this for lawful research purposes and agree to our Terms and RUO Policy.

Your vial
The mass of lyophilized peptide, printed on the vial or its certificate of analysis.
mg
The volume of laboratory-grade reconstitution solvent you add to the vial.
mL
A volume of the prepared solution, to show how much peptide it contains.
mL
Resulting concentration
Enter the peptide mass and the solvent volume to see the concentration of your reconstituted solution.

How the calculation works

Concentration is simply the amount of peptide divided by the volume of solvent it is dissolved in:

concentration (mg/mL) = peptide mass (mg) ÷ solvent volume (mL)
concentration (mcg/mL) = concentration (mg/mL) × 1000

So a 10 mg vial reconstituted with 2 mL of solvent gives 5 mg/mL (5000 mcg/mL). The amount of peptide contained in any measured volume of that solution is then just the concentration multiplied by that volume. That is the entirety of the math — no product-specific assumptions, and nothing about administration.

Need solvent? We stock a laboratory reconstitution solution, and you can review the lot-specific purity of any compound in our COA Library. For the science behind preparing and storing solutions, see Peptide Research.

Verified purity, every lot

Every PeptaPeptides compound ships with a lot-specific certificate of analysis — HPLC purity and mass-spec identity you can look up yourself.
